Me 17 Dhjetor 2016 nd\u00ebrroj jet\u00eb n\u00eb mosh\u00ebn 94 vje\u00e7are, miku i shqiptar\u00ebve, ish kongresisti\u00a0 republikan Benjamin ‘Ben’ Gilman ( 1922-2016).<\/p>\n

Fal\u00eb pun\u00ebs lobuese t\u00eb palodhur t\u00eb LQSHA me n\u00eb krye Joseph DioGuardin, q\u00eb ka b\u00ebr\u00eb gjat\u00eb fundit t\u00eb viteve ’80-ta dhe\u00a0 posa\u00e7\u00ebrisht gjat\u00eb viteve ’90-ta t\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb kaluar,\u00a0 Ben Gilman ishte nj\u00eb nd\u00ebr kongresist\u00ebt e par\u00eb amerikan i cili e kuptoj drejt\u00eb \u00e7\u00ebshtjen e Kosov\u00ebs dhe kauz\u00ebn shqiptare dhe u angazhua n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb drejtim bashk\u00eb me ligj\u00ebv\u00ebn\u00ebsit tjer\u00eb t\u00eb asaj kohe si\u00e7 ishin: Senator\u00ebt Bob Dole, Claiborne Pell, Larry Pressler,\u00a0 Alfonse D\u2019Amato si dhe kongresist\u00ebt\u00a0 Lantos, Porter, Broomfield etj.<\/p>\n

P\u00ebr 6 vite me radh\u00eb ( 1995-2001) z. Gilman kryesoj Komisionin p\u00ebr Marr\u00ebdh\u00ebnie t\u00eb Jashtme t\u00eb Kongresit Amerikan.<\/p>\n

Ja disa nga angazhimet e kongresistit Gilman lidhur me \u00e7\u00ebshtjen shqiptare:<\/p>\n

-N\u00eb vitin 1992 LQSHA paraqet Rezulot\u00ebn n\u00eb Kongres ( e njohur si (H.Con.Res. 264) e bashk\u00eb-sponzuar nga Ben Gilman dhe Tom Lantos e cila b\u00ebn thirrje p\u00ebr njohjen e pavar\u00ebsis\u00eb s\u00eb Kosov\u00ebs;<\/p>\n

-N\u00eb Mars t\u00eb vitit 1995 kongresisti Gilman paraqet rezolut\u00ebn\u00a0 (H.Con.Res. 1360), p\u00ebrmes s\u00eb cil\u00ebs kusht\u00ebzon heqjen e sanksioneve ndaj S\u00ebrbis\u00eb dhe Malit t\u00eb Zi me realizimin e t\u00eb drejtave legjitime t\u00eb shqiptar\u00ebve p\u00ebr t\u00eb vet\u00ebqeverisur me Kosov\u00ebn;<\/p>\n

-N\u00eb gusht t\u00eb vitit 1995 viziton zyrtarisht Shqip\u00ebrin\u00eb;<\/p>\n

– N\u00eb Janar t\u00eb vitit 1996 Gilman paraqet rezolut\u00ebn e radh\u00ebs ( (H. Con. Res. 103), e cila b\u00ebn thirrje qeveris\u00eb s\u00eb Maqedonis\u00eb q\u00eb t’ju garantoj\u00eb t\u00eb drejtat komb\u00ebtare t\u00eb popullit shqiptar ,q\u00eb t\u00eb njoh zyrtarisht Univerzitetin e Tetov\u00ebs dhe t\u00eb liroj\u00eb nga burgu themeluesit e tij;<\/p>\n

-N\u00eb Prill t\u00eb vitit 1999 kongresisti Traficant paraqet resolut\u00ebn\u00a0 e njohur si ” The Kosovar Independence and Justice Act (H. Con. Res. 1425), e cila b\u00ebn thirrje p\u00ebr armatimin\u00a0 e U\u00c7K-s\u00eb<\/p>\n

dhe paditjen e shpalljen e Millosheviqit si kriminel t\u00eb luft\u00ebs si dhe pavar\u00ebsimin e Kosov\u00ebs.<\/p>\n

Gjat\u00eb k\u00ebsaj kohe LQSHA organizon protest\u00ebn masive n\u00eb Washington DC ku marrin pjes\u00eb, n\u00eb mes ligj\u00ebven\u00ebsve tjer\u00eb amerikan edhe Ben Gilman, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt i b\u00ebjn\u00eb thirrje Departamentit t\u00eb Shtetit ( pra qeveris\u00eb amerikane) p\u00ebr armatimin e U\u00c7K-s\u00eb dhe njohjen e pavar\u00ebsis\u00eb s\u00eb Kosov\u00ebs.<\/p>\n

Mir\u00ebnjohje t\u00eb p\u00ebrher\u00ebshme\u00a0 dhe respekt p\u00ebr mikun e shqiptar\u00ebve , t\u00eb ndjerin Ben Gilman!<\/p>\n
